A sea of red and white could be seen filling the sidewalks of Goderich street in downtown Port Elgin as poutine enthusiasts made their way to five different venues to taste the various offerings during Poutinefest July 1.

The event, hosted by the Port Elgin BIA, saw The Queen’s Bar & Grill, Chester’s Bar & Grill, Allan’s Fireside Grill, The Wismer House and the Hog’s Troth food truck serving up the curds at the event with help from rugby teams Bruce County Barbarians and Banshees volunteering their efforts to hydrate the poutine aficionados at Coulter Parkette.
