On Monday, July 10, Hatch, the Ontario-headquartered global engineering firm hosted an open house at its Port Elgin office to celebrate the first anniversary in Saugeen Shores.

To commemorate the event, the firm donated $3,000 to the Community Foundation Grey Bruce in support of the First Nations post secondary education and the students starting and finishing a BA in science and research.

Kevin Kelly, Chief Financial Officer of Bruce Power was accompanied with Bruce Power staff to present the signature of the latest contract between the two companies, a services agreement that allows Hatch to support Bruce Power operations and life-extension programs.

“When you look at the facility here, the people that have been relocated, the money that has now been spent locally, this is what is all about and I know this is the starting point for Hatch and we are looking forward much more into the future,” said Kelly.
