The Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre (BCM&CC) is pleased to announce an upcoming juried art show, "Escarpment Roots: The Land, The People, The Story," in collaboration with the Bruce Peninsula Society of Artists (BPSA).

The opening event is set to take place on June 10 from 2pm to 4pm at BCM&CC.

The exhibition explores the history and landscapes of the Niagara Escarpment and features works by local artists who draw inspiration from the region. Through various mediums the exhibition delves into the interplay between the land, its people, and the fascinating stories that shape the region's identity."

This remarkable exhibition explores the rich heritage and breathtaking landscapes of the Niagara Escarpment. The show features captivating artworks created by talented local artists who draw inspiration from the unique essence of the region. Through various artistic mediums, the exhibition "delves into the interplay between the land, its people, and the fascinating stories that shape the region's identity," read a recent media release from the County of Bruce.

“We are so excited to welcome the BPSA back to the BCM&CC with their newest juried show Escarpment Roots,” said Museum Director Cathy McGirr. “This exhibition is an amazing connection to all things Bruce, as reflected in the title.”

"During the opening event, visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a vibrant display of artistic excellence, celebrating the artists' profound connection to the escarpment region," continued the release, adding that guests will have an opportunity to engage with the artists, learn about their creative processes and gain insights into the stories behind their works.

Complimentary coffee, tea, and light refreshments will be served and a cash bar will be available.
