Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce (SSCC) has made the decision to alter their Canada Day celebration plans, according to a May 21 SSCC media release.

In order to keep everyone safe and healthy, the SSCC has decided to postpone Canada Day fireworks, originally scheduled for Canada Day, July 1st, and hopes to select a new date for the fireworks once safe viewing and operations are possible.

In the meantime, the SSCC is working with community partners to make social distancing celebrations available to our community on Canada Day. An announcement will be made once details have been finalized.

"The community of Saugeen Shores has shown great displays of compassion and positivity during this difficult time, and we want to bring more smiles to our community," read the release.
