Shakey Trill, consisting of Saugeen Shores' very own Tyler Pantlin and Mike MacDonald, are off to the 35th International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis, Tennessee January 22 to 26 and The Wismer House is hosting a fundraiser to help cover costs December 7.

From the IBC website, the competition is judged by blues professionals from across the globe and represents a worldwide search for blues acts who are ready to play an international stage but that need "that extra big break."

The Wismer House has been a strong supporter of live music for over a decade and owner Jeff Carver said the fundraiser is a way of saying thanks to the pair for performing at his venue over the years.

"Tyler Pantlin and Mike MacDonald have played with a variety of different bands and to show our appreciation The Wismer House will be kicking off the fundraising efforts for this incredible opportunity by covering the cost of flights to Memphis for the competition as well as raffling a pair of Toronto Maple Leaf tickets off on Friday, December 7," said Carver. "We are looking for musicians to donate time and talent to support this event," he added.

The event will take place from 8 p.m. until close December 7 and equipment including a PA, amplifiers, drums and instruments will be provided.

Anyone interested in lending their musical talents for any duration throughout the evening is asked to email thewismer@gmail.com.
