The wonderful world of Disney was in full effect at École Port Elgin Saugeen Central School (ÉPESCS) performance of “A Night of Disney Magic” May 25.
Opus 11 consisted of 110 students conducted by music teacher Matthew Patterson, aka Darth Vadar, and included the Senior Concert Band, Intermediate Concert Band, Black Belt Recorder Ensemble and the school’s Mass Band.
Students were encouraged to dress up like their favourite Disney character at the year-end performance with even some audience members dressing up as well. Music from The Lion King, Mary Poppins and The Jungle Book were featured as well as a marathon performance and ode to the Star Wars franchise.
