Hub Staff
Staff from the Town of Saugeen Shores hauled in snow to the area of Coulter Parkette on Friday, February 17 in preparation for the Port Elgin BIA’s inaugural Snow Fest winter festival.
The weekend promises snow painting and snow sculptures; vendors, games and activities; and a “snow mountain” to round out the family fun event Family Day weekend in downtown Port Elgin.
Mowbray’s Canadian Tire has generously loaned their sports radar so volunteers can track the speed of slap shots and snow balls.
The Port Elgin Public Library will have snow themed books and colouring on Saturday.
MacGregor Point Provincial Park is also holding their annual Snow Fest event with activities planned throughout the weekend.
