The Chantry Singers created musical magic alongside the Saugeen Shores Ministerial Association at the concert service, Lessons and Carols, December 11 at the Southampton United Church.
The Chantry Singers, conducted by Anne Little and accompanied by Christina Edwards, sang seasonal songs, while the parishioners were invited to sing along to carols such as: Hope is a Star, O Little Town of Bethlehem, Silent Night, What Child is This, As with Gladness Men of Old, and O Come All Ye Faithful.
The non-denominational Christmas celebration included bible verses read by various reverends, pastors, and chaplains from many places of worship throughout Saugeen Shores including Pastor Gary Harvey from Port Elgin Missionary Church, Reverend Captain Bob Bouchard from Faith Lutheran Church, Reverend Bonnie Holliday from Port Elgin United Church, Reverend Carrie Irwin from St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Reverend Chuck Moon from Tolmie and Burgoyne Presbyterian Church, Pastor Mike Anderson from Shoreline Baptist Church, Reverend Jason Postma from Anglican Regional Ministry, Pastor Darlene Rath, Chaplain at Southampton Hospital; Ms. Karen Lyons, Chaplain at Elgin Lodge, and Reverend Keith Reynolds from Southampton United Church.
The snow outside wasn't at all frightful, and created and beautiful atmosphere during the Chantry Singers presentation of Lessons and Carols December 11 at the Southampton United Church.
