With over 140 vendors to see, the 47th Southampton Craft Show in support of P.R.A.N.C.E. (Pegasus Riding Association Nurturing Challenged Equestrians) drew hoards of people to sift through the unique, the beautiful, the tasty and the many crafty items on display, July 7. Vendors filled the Southampton Coliseum and Curling Club and spilled into the parking lot.

Craft Show Organizer and Operations Manager/Volunteer Coordinator for P.R.A.N.C.E., Ann Veyvera-Divinski was on-site making sure things ran smoothy and said that from food, plants to unique items, people could get almost anything but a pet, at the Southampton Craft Show. However, she did note that there were items specifically for pets for sale, so everyone was covered.

“I would say over half the vendors are repeat,” said Veyvera-Divinski, adding that some of the vendors have been coming since the the show started. “They know how big this show is and it is always the first Thursday in July... that’s the way people remember it and it’s been that way for 47 years.”

Traveling from Burlington, Donna Miller of Donna’s Crafts’n Things said she always travels to Saugeen Shores for the Southampton Craft Show. “The nuts are on the go,” said Miller whose “nutty” designs always catch the eye of passers by. Designs range from magnets to door decorations to cute witty table side knick-knacks, all made of peanuts and seeds and can be custom made upon request.

Some vendors travelled from far away while some homegrown talent entered the Craft Show for the first time.

Southampton’s Sam Taus didn't need a filter to express her joy of being involved in the 47th Southampton Craft Show. The creator of the popular Instagram account “Southampton_On” moved from digital to sell panel epoxy Southampton photographs that were a hit at the show.

“I obviously love Southampton way more than a lot of people should,” Taus joked. “I just love other people coming up and seeing the pictures. She added that she can see from her Instagram account that people love Southampton, and that she “loves spreading the love.”
