YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce in partnership with the Town of Saugeen Shores is hosting a Multicultural Day Celebration on Saturday, June 28 in Southampton.
Now in its fourth year, the family friendly event is hosted in a different community each year, is free to attend with donations greatly appreciated, and will feature a "global fusion of music, dance, food and fun," celebrating the "rich diversity that makes our community so special."
Opening ceremonies will get underway at 11am with music and cultural performances to follow including Saugeen First Nation Drumming Circle, Caribbean Steel Drums, Ukrainian and Highland Dance, Chinese Heritage and Dhol Bagpipes.
International food vendors, a vendor market and children's activities will round out the day.
The Multicultural Day Celebration will take place from 11am to 3pm at Pioneer Park, 70 Front Street in Southampton. In case of rain the event will be moved to the Southampton United Church, 18 Victoria Street South.
