Mischief with pellet gun
South Bruce OPP is seeking witnesses after several mischief incidents in Teeswater.
On May 8 at 7:24 a.m., officers were called to Hillcrest Central School, where multiple windows were damaged by a pellet gun. Similar reports later came in from the Teeswater Community Centre and nearby residences.

Careless driving
A driver has been charged following a collision in Huron-Kinloss. On April 30, shortly before 2:00 p.m., South Bruce OPP, paramedics, and fire services responded to a report of a commercial motor vehicle rollover on Concession 4. The driver was taken to Kincardine hospital with minor injuries. A 27-year-old from Dundalk has been charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
Break-and-enter arrest
Police have made an arrest in the ongoing investigation into multiple break-and-enter incidents reported in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.
On May 5, members of the Ontario Provincial Police Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Unit located the suspect at an address on 8th Street in Owen Sound. At approximately 11:45 a.m., officers arrested the individual without incident.
A 33-year-old male of no fixed address has been charged with Break and Enter, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000, Fail to Comply with Undertaking, Fail to Comply with Probation Order, Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order, Carry Firearm, Weapon in a Carless Manner, Mischief Over $5000, Theft Under $5000 and two counts of Theft of Motor Vehicle. The accused was held for a bail hearing on May 5th before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound and has since been remanded into custody.
Assist with fire call
On May 6, shortly before 1:00 p.m., South Bruce OPP officers responded to a report of a burning smell at Ripley-Huron Community School. OPP, the Ripley-Huron Fire Department, and Lucknow Fire Department also attended. Staff and students had already evacuated safely and there were no injuries. During the evacuation, officers worked with school staff and firefighters to provide food and drinks to students. Staff and students were able to re-enter the school before dismissal.
