Bruce Power and their supplier partners have contributed $335,000 to local holiday initiatives across Bruce, Grey, and Huron counties in celebration of Giving Tuesday.

In partnership with community members, their employees, suppliers, the United Way of Bruce Grey, the electricity company raised more than $60,000 in support of over 20 toy drives and hamper programs with an additional $2,000 contributing to food security through each of the 38 food banks in the region.

Community meal programs in Port Elgin, Kincardine, Owen Sound, Chesley, Hanover, and Walkerton received a combined $50,000 with an additional $50,000 contributed to housing security initiatives through Safe n Sound in Owen Sound, the YMCA's emergency shelter program in Bruce County, and SOS in Grey County.

Local schools and women's sheltered assisted Bruce Power in distributing $60,000 in grocery store gift cards to local families and $40,000 in new winter clothing was given to local families through Bruce Grey Child and Family Services, Saugeen First Nation and the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation, and Huron-Perth Children's Aid.
