HURON KINLOSS
An altercation in Huron Kinloss has led to an arrest of a 33-year old resident.
The man was charged with causing a disturbance and mischief under $5,000 November 24 after South Bruce OPP received a report of an alleged disturbance in the area of McDonald Street and Queen Street in Ripley.
A telecommunications company was working in the area when they were approached by a disgruntled resident. The resident allegedly yelled at the employee and struck their vehicle with a steel pole.
The accused is set to appear in a Walkerton Court in the new year.
SOUTHGATE TOWNSHIP
Grey Bruce OPP responded to a report of a workplace incident at a construction site in Southgate Township on November 27.
Police, along with Grey County Emergency Medical Services and the Dundalk Fire Department where a 20-year old from Linwood, Ontario was reported to have fallen approximately eight metres from a roof while working.
Police said the individual sustained life-altering injuries, was transported to the local hospital then airlifted to a trauma centre.
The Ministry of Labour has taken over the investigation.
MUNICIPALITY OF KINCARDINE
South Bruce OPP, along with Bruce County Paramedic Services and Kincardine Fire and Emergency Services, responded to a report of a collision on Highway 21 in the area of Underwood.
Police said a 70-year old construction worker had been struck by a passenger vehicle and was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries and later flown to a London trauma centre.
Police and the Ministry of Labour are continuing to investigate the collision.
