The Grey Bruce Community Safety and Well-Being Plan and their partners are hosing a series of town halls aimed at increasing community awareness about human trafficking, its impact and what we can do to keep communities safe.
Events will feature local police representatives sharing how trafficking shows up in the region and what signs to watch out for. As well people with lived experience will share their stories.
There will be an open Q&A with frontline experts and service providers.
Community Safety and Well-Being Planning Coordinator Alexis Cook said the events are a chance to come together, learn, and support one another. "By hearing directly from survivors and experts, we can all play a part in building awareness and preventing trafficking," Cook said.
The town halls are free to attend with no registration required and include four opportunities to attend in Grey and Bruce counties.
