The Spark Mentorship and Grants Program is now open to bring sustainable tourism ideas to reality.
Selected applicants will receive a $3,000 grant as well as expert mentorship from industry professionals and additional partner support.
The program is a partnership between Bruce County, Bruce Power, Bruce Grey Simcoe Regional Tourism Organization (RTO7), and the Tourism Innovation Lab.
The program is looking for ideas that will enhance Bruce County's tourism landscape, create high-quality, low-impact visitor experience, and fill gaps in current tourism products and services as well as encouraging longer stays and repeat visits, increasing shoulder season tourism and spending, and demonstrating genuine sustainability.
Entrepreneurs, small businesses, and non-profit organizations in Bruce County are welcome to apply from now through to October 15, 2025. A juried review will select finalists who will then present a pitch from which this year's winners will be selected.
Bruce County Warden Luke Charbonneau said the program aims to invest in the future of Bruce County's tourism and support local entrepreneurs who see opportunity. "The Spark Program connects innovative thinking with the resources needed to succeed," said Charbonneau.
The Spark Program is now in its seventh year.
