Bruce Grey Child and Family Services (BGCFS) is hosting a virtual book reading on Monday, September 29 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in honour of National Truth and Reconciliation Day.
David A. Robertson will be reading from his book 'When We Were Alone.' Robertson lives in Winnipeg, Manitobe, is a member of the Norway House Cree Nation, and is committed to Indigenous heritage and storytelling.
His book, 'When We Were Alone' has received several awards including the Governor General's Literacy Award for young people's literature - illustrated books.
"This is an excellent opportunity for local businesses and school classes of all ages to participate in an event dedicated to National Truth and Reconciliation Day while travelling with the author as they take you through the book's journey," read a recent media release from BGCFS.
