Bruce County is looking for feedback from residents aged 50 plus as well as their caregivers to help develop its first Age-Friendly Communities Framework with an aim to create a roadmap of actionable strategies to create a community where their aging population can live well.

A survey is available online, takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, and invites feedback on eight age relevant domains as defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) including housing, healthcare, outdoor spaces, transportation, and more.

An age-friendly community is defined as one that supports healthy and active aging and address issues such as safety, financial well being, independence, health, and dignity, as well as opportunities to learn and grow and stay engaged in their communities.

The survey is open to residents 50 plus and their caregivers and will be available until September 15, 2025.

It is available online by clicking here.

Anyone unable to complete the survey online can contact Bruce County's Director of Long-Term Care and Senior Services Emily Kussman at 226-909-3069 or ekussmann@brucecounty.on.ca.

Hard copies of the surveys are also available at the following County facilities:
