The Bruce County Public Library's Port Elgin branch has received a donation of a cutting edge 3D printer thanks to local business owner, Peter Stanley of LSES Consulting Inc. The donation will aim to expand creative and educational opportunities for library patrons.

The new Bambu Labs X1C 3D printer brings several new features including significantly faster printing speeds, built-in camera capabilities for recording the printing process, user-friendly software for enhanced accessibility, and free training through Niche Academy offered at the Port Elgin branch.

In a recent media release to media, Stanley said that he has seen firsthand how powerful these machines can be. "They foster creativity and offer solutions to problems once thought unsolvable," he said, adding that as dedicated printer in Port Elgin will help ensure continuous availability and encourage community engagement.

The release went on to say that BCPL is thrilled to offer this new technology to its patrons and looks forward to seeing the creativity that it inspires.
