In a recent media release from Bruce Telecom, Fibre Optic internet for Gobles Grove is just "weeks away" and home and cottage owners in the community will be able to access faster speeds before summer.
The announcement follows six months of construction to install more than 11 kilometres of Fibre Optic technology in the area with nearly 400 homes being eligible for the upgrade.
The Gobles Grove project is the third phase of Bruce Telecom bringing Fibre Optic technology to all properties in Port Elgin.
Fibre Optic technology provides advantages over traditional copper wiring including fast speeds, up to 1GB, improving virtual working and meeting, streaming, gaming, and faster downloads; increased reliability, and enhanced bandwidth capacity.
