Women’s Shawl dance at the 46th annual Competition Pow Wow at Saugeen First Nation.

Saugeen First Nation will be hosting their 47th competition Pow Wow on August 11 and 12 at the James Mason Memorial Culture and Recreation Centre, 47 French Bay Road. This year's theme is "Remembering Residential School Survivors."

Community members and visitors to the region are invited to attend the day’s activities. The annual event brings hundreds of people to the Saugeen community to celebrate First Nations culture, food, dance and music.

Grand Entry, the official opening of the Pow Wow, will begin at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. on Sunday.

Gates open at 9 a.m. and admission is $10 a day for ages 13 and up, $5 a day for ages 4 to 12, children 3 and under are free.
