The Northport Cougars had their day in the snow during their Winterama inspired activity day February 9. The students were sorted into colour-coded teams and were encouraged to work together to attain points for participation, good behaviour and winning sporting events that were scattered throughout the schoolyard.

The Cougars were greeted by the yet to be named Rotary Winterama bear who gave many students high-fives while Rotarian Gerry Moss promoted the Rotary Club’s 16th annual Winterama event which was held January 10 at the Plex as well as various other locations.

Students participated in tug-a-war, snowball aiming contests, musical chairs and an outdoor hockey game.
