Amanda MeuserPort Elgin Rotary President Rob Dunlop presents to Amanda Meuser who will study Health Sciences with the goal of becoming a Pharmacist.

Each year the Port Elgin Rotary Club awards two $750 bursaries, one to a graduating male student and one to a graduating female student, who best exhibits the traits of the Rotary Club’s motto “Service above Self”.

From a Port Elgin Rotary media release, with high ethical standards, these students advance understanding, good will, and peace through helping, serving and caring for others.

Amanda Meuser and Sam Nusselder joined the Rotarians at a meet and greet to receive their cheques before heading away to school.

As signified by the motto Service Above Self, Rotary’s main objective is service - in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world. The Rotary Club of Port Elgin congratulates Amanda and Sam who, through ‘Service Above Self’, will improve and positively influence the lives of countless people.
