brucepowerlogo fullFriday and Saturday morning 11 a.m. bus tours are the newest addition to the activity roster being offered this summer at the Bruce Power Visitors’ Centre.

The Summer Bus Tour program has been running seven days a week at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. since July 1 and, due to popular demand, the Visitors’ Centre has added the additional 11 a.m. time slot on select days.

“It’s been a great summer of bus tours so far, with lots of participants joining us for the experience. We wanted to accommodate as many of our visitors as we can and offering these new Friday and Saturday morning tours will provide more people the opportunity to see the Bruce Power site,” said Chris Mercanti, Section Manager, Community and Indigenous
Relations.

The 11 a.m. tours will be held on July 28 and 29, as well as Aug. 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25 and 26. The daily seasonal program concludes at the end of August.

Despite the additional tours, pre-registration is still strongly recommended, as space is limited. Guests are able to reserve up to 10 spaces for friends and family members by pre-registering.

To pre-register, visit www.brucepower.com/bustours or call the Visitors’ Centre at 519-361-7777. A valid ID must be presented prior to your tour and an adult must be present to vouch for the identity of children under 18 years of age. Tours leave the Visitors’ Centre, which is located west of Highway 21 on Bruce Road 20.

The new bus tour time slot comes on the heels of the recent launch of a student-run 20-minute theatrical performance titled ‘The Quest for the Perfect Science Fair Project,’ that is performed at noon on Wednesdays and Fridays, plus select weekends.
