Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) Southport is welcoming a special guest on May 10 at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre (BCM&CC) in Southampton.

Jennifer Brant is the co-editor of “Forever Loved: Exposing the Hidden Crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls in Canada”, exploring the root causes of the MMIWG crisis and its effect on families and communities.

Brant, a Mohawk woman, is a teacher in the Indigenous Studies program at Brock University and is completing her PhD at Brock University. She is the founder of the Gidayaamin Indigenous Women’s Program and has a commitment to Indigenous community well-being and reconciliation through education.

The event, sponsored by Ontario Power Generation, is set to get underway at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10 at BCM&CC and is open to the public with admission by donation.
