fairylake fullThere will be a public information session held on October 5 at 6:30pm, at the Fairy Lake Rotary Pavilion, to present particulars with regard to the Great Lakes Guardian Community Fund. The funding will take place over the next couple of years should the Great Lakes Guardian Community Fund application be successful.

These potential projects will further enhance the refurbishments for which the Town of Saugeen Shores already has received funding for through the Canada 150 Infrastructure Grant.

Jayne Jagelewski, Community Services Director for the Town of Saugeen Shores, said, “the funding that the Great Lakes Guardian Community Fund provides allows the community to take pride in the heritage of Saugeen Shores and keep the park lands a place for all to continue to enjoy.”

This grant is being spearheaded by SauGreen for the Environment Inc., but will involve several community groups to bring the vision of this grant to fruition.

“We are pleased with the response of other community groups to be part of these exciting enhancements around Fairy Lake,” says Victoria Serda of SauGreen. “Community projects like this prove just how important park lands like Fairy Lake are to our community.”
