The Grey Bruce Hike for Hospice held an inaugural walk May 6 in Saugeen Shores which saw approximately 20 participants raise $2,539 in in-person donations, with additional online donations still accumulating at the time of publishing, for the Chapman House – Grey Bruce Residential Hospice.

A nation-wide event, the Hike was organized locally by Chapman House and took place in eight communities across Grey and Bruce counties in support of the end-of-life care facility in Owen Sound. The Saugeen Shores event kicked off at the Port Elgin Main Beach Pavilion.

With online donations still coming in, organizers were able to tally $2,539 from in-person donations from the Saugeen Shores edition of the Hike for Hospice in support of Chapman House in Owen Sound.
