xfactornew fullThe Business Enterprise Centre (BEC) is hosting the 7th Annual Bridges to Better Business Event: "the X-factor: an evening of e-X-periences with Celes Davar" on Thursday, March 24, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Southampton Town Hall.

Small Business owner and facilitator, Celes Davar, of Earth Rhythms of Manitoba, is the key note speaker for this year’s event. After facilitating a two and a half workshop in Midland, Celes arrives in Southampton to motivate Bruce County business owners and managers to take a fresh approach towards their customers.

Celes is proactive and will challenge participants to use "e-X-periential Elements" to increase customers' engagement, by appealing to all five senses, and using stories to create emotional connection. More and more, consumers are willing to pay for the right experience if the perceived value is there. This "e-x-periential" approach can help all businesses develop a competitive advantage that is based on value over price.

Patrick Checknita, Business Development Officer at the Business Enterprise Centre said, “Celes' ideas can be used by any business, as they can develop experiences that engage local customers in a new way."

Regional Tourism Organization 7 (RTO7) is bringing Celes back to Ontario for another sold-out workshop in Midland (March 21 to March 23). Bill Sullivan, Executive Director RTO7 said, "Celes' ability to communicate and relate with rural and small town tourism operators sets him apart from his contemporaries. A session with Celes will be eye opening and will challenge attendees to achieve success using a sound process that has proven successful for many attendees."

To add to the night'’s e-X-periences, a Mystery Guest will guide participants to understand the key ingredients of a successful experience. Light supper is provided by Southampton'’s newest catering company, Little Black Dog Creative Catering and Chef Services. The Wismer House will offer local craft beer and wines at our cash bar.

Bridges to Better Business is a forum where business owners and managers, both new and more experienced, exchange ideas and share advice. Much of the time is dedicated to open dialogue between the facilitator and seminar participants. The BEC has partnered with Canada Business Ontario and Bruce County to hold this event.

Tickets are $50, including HST and pre-registration is required. For more information, or to register, email smallbiz@saugeenshores.ca, telephone 519.832.2082 or online at BEC’s Event Page.
