MacGregor Point Park was haunted on Friday, October 13 with campsite magic and its annual Haunted Trail that in 2016 welcomed over 1,000 visitors during its first night.

On Friday the 13th the number looked to be just as high as motorists lined up to enter the park with their non-perishable food donation and a vehicle entry cost of $14.50.

Over 30 volunteers took part in the evening that promised to scare and even terrify those who dared to enter. From “It” to “Jurassic Park” there is movie magic at work.

Park Superintendent Keith Early said that organizers modified the trail to keep hauntings closer to each other, which didn’t allow the trailblazers much respite from one terror to the next.

The Friends of MacGregor Point Park were on hand serving up hot chocolate and barbecued food.

The event was originally scheduled to run again Saturday, October 14 but was cancelled due to inclement weather.
