A long list of items were donated by local businesses, including two Sisters on Huron $500 gift certificates which were auctioned for 125 percent of their value, Lunch with Mayor Mike Smith, an opportunity to co-host the morning show with Brian Longmire at 98 The Beach and a cantilever parasol from Martin's Home Hardware.

Other items included lunch at the parliamentary restaurant and a tour of parliament with Ben Lobb, a New Orleans Jazz Experience and a $1,000 rail excursion donated by Via Rail.

A community art piece was created at the event itself by artist Susan Seitz, who encouraged everyone in attendance to put their mark on it. The piece was auctioned off for a winning bid of $375 and went to Jenny Amy of Chantry Breezes Bed & Breakfast in Southampton.
