UPDATE:

As of 2:03 p.m. March 7, 2025, River Road from fire number 81 to fire number 222 remains closed due to flooding. All other roads in Saugeen Shores are open.

UPDATE:

As of 10:00 a.m. the following rural roads remain closed:

Sideroad 33/34 from Concession 2 to the Bruce Saugeen Townline 
Sideroad 28/29 from Concession 2 to the Blind Line 
River Road from fire number 81 to fire number 222 (due to flooding at the south end). The remainder is open to local traffic.

The following roads are now open:  

Concession 2   
Bruce-Saugeen Townline  
Sideroad 13/14  
Sideroad 18/19  
North Shore Road from McVicar to Concession 10 
Louisa St from Anglesia Street to Carlisle Street 

"Driving on a closed road is against the law and puts you and your passengers at risk," read a 10 a.m. media release from the Town. "Abandoned vehicles may be towed and fined. Please stay off these roads."

ORIGINAL STORY CONTINUES BELOW:

A section toward the south end of River Road, between Fire numbers 222 and 81, has been reported as closed and is considered impassable due to flooding. 

The remainder of the road remains open to local traffic.

As of 9am March 7 the following rural roads are open:

Concession 2  
Bruce-Saugeen Townline 
Sideroad 13/14 
Sideroad 18/19 
North Shore Road from McVicar to Concession 10 

The following rural roads remain closed:

Sideroad 33/34 from Concession 2 to the Bruce Saugeen Townline due to stranded vehicles
Sideroad 28/29 from Concession 2 to the Blind Line due to stranded vehicles
